Dinuba, Tulare County
Dinuba was founded in 1888 along a branch of the Southern Pacific and incorporated in 1906; no one is certain where its name came from. Raisin grapes made the town, and it has held a Raisin Day parade and festival each September since 1911. The city is now also a center of food manufacturing, including one of the largest makers of frozen Mexican food in the country.
